Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 9 September 2026

By accessing or using the Tunbridge Wellness platform—including our directory, community spaces, journal, and our events initiative Tunbridge Wellness Afterdark—you agree to the following terms regarding platform usage, ticketing, and community standards. These terms govern the relationship between Tunbridge Wellness, Seekers (users), Event Attendees, and Practitioners.

1. Our Role as a Curated Directory & Platform

Tunbridge Wellness is a curated discovery platform and community hub. While we review practitioner applications against our editorial guidelines, inclusion on our directory does not constitute a formal endorsement, medical recommendation, or guarantee of safety. We act strictly as an introductory conduit. The contract for any actual wellness service, treatment, or private consultation exists entirely between the Seeker and the Practitioner.

2. Medical & Esoteric Guidance Disclaimer

We do not provide medical or healthcare advice. The content on this website is for informational inspiration only and should never be used as a substitute for professional medical diagnosis, emergency care, or treatment from a registered medical practitioner. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any new treatment.

Esoteric, Intuitive & Spiritual Guidance: Any content, talks, workshops, or salons exploring tarot, astrology, divination, folklore, or esoteric practices are offered strictly for personal reflection, self-exploration, and entertainment purposes. Intuitive readings, divination, or esoteric discussions do not constitute financial, legal, psychological, or medical advice, and must never replace qualified professional counsel.

3. Events, Ticketing & In-Person Attendance (Conscious Sessions & Gatherings)

When purchasing tickets for or attending in-person events hosted or co-curated by Tunbridge Wellness or Tunbridge Wellness Afterdark (such as Conscious Sessions, The Coven meetups, or seasonal salons), the following additional terms apply:

  • Ticketing & Payment Processors: Ticket sales are managed and processed via secure third-party ticketing platforms (such as Ticket Tailor and Stripe). By purchasing a ticket, you agree to comply with the third-party provider's transaction terms in addition to these Terms.
  • Refunds & Transfers: Unless explicitly stated otherwise on the specific event listing, tickets are non-refundable. However, tickets may generally be transferred to another individual provided you notify us via email at least 24 hours prior to the event start time.
  • Event Rescheduling & Cancellations: We reserve the right to alter event lineups, guest speakers, schedules, or host venues due to unforeseen circumstances (including speaker illness, adverse weather, or venue emergency). If an event is cancelled entirely by Tunbridge Wellness and not rescheduled, ticket holders will receive a full refund of the face value of their ticket.
  • Venue Guidelines & Attendee Conduct: Attendees must adhere to all health, safety, and operational policies of our host partner venues (such as The Old Auction House). Tunbridge Wellness and venue staff reserve the right to refuse entry or require any attendee to leave without a refund if their behaviour is deemed abusive, intoxicated, unsafe, discriminatory, or disruptive to the community circle.
  • Age Restrictions: Unless explicitly advertised as family-friendly, all Afterdark gatherings, conscious sessions, and evening circles are strictly restricted to individuals aged 18 and over.
  • Photography & Media: We occasionally take ambient photographs or recordings at public events for promotional and community archives. If you prefer not to appear in any photography, please inform our event hosts upon arrival.

4. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be legally excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Tunbridge Wellness shall not be liable for any personal injury, property damage, adverse reaction, or financial loss arising directly or indirectly from your engagement with third-party practitioners, partner venues, or external ticketing and payment links found on this platform.

5. User, Seeker & Attendee Conduct

To maintain a safe community, all users and attendees agree that they will not:

  • Provide false identity information or impersonate others.
  • Harass, abuse, or send inappropriate or unwanted communications to practitioners, speakers, or attendees.
  • Scrape, systematically extract, or commercially reuse the platform's database of practitioners without explicit permission.
  • Submit fake, misleading, or incentivized reviews (should such features be made available).

6. Practitioner Obligations

Practitioners must ensure their profiles remain accurate. By listing on Tunbridge Wellness, you agree to:

  • Maintain the necessary professional insurance, registrations, and qualifications required under UK law.
  • Refrain from making unsupported or illegal health claims (e.g., claiming to "cure" specific medical conditions).
  • Indemnify and hold Tunbridge Wellness harmless against claims arising specifically from your breach of these terms, your negligence, or inaccurate information you supplied to the directory.

7. Intellectual Property

By uploading profile images, bios, and other promotional content to the platform, practitioners and contributors retain full ownership of their intellectual property. However, you grant Tunbridge Wellness a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and distribute this content across our directory and related marketing channels (such as our newsletter, journal, and social media) for the purpose of promoting your services and the platform.

8. Account Suspension & Removal

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any Seeker or Practitioner account immediately, and without prior notice, if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, or if necessary to protect the safety and integrity of the platform.

9. Membership Subscriptions, Billing Cadence & Auto-Renewal

Tunbridge Wellness operates transparent, fair-billing membership schemes for verified wellness practitioners and venue hosts:

  • Complimentary Founding Periods: During platform launch and beta initiatives, eligible accounts receive complimentary founding access (such as our 90-day trial cohort). No subscription fee is debited during this period without clear prior notice and explicit confirmation.
  • Billing Cadence: Following trial completion, memberships continue on the member's chosen schedule: Monthly Rolling or Annual Advance (offering preferential rates of up to ~17% discount). All prices are quoted in GBP (£) inclusive of applicable taxes.
  • Payment Methods & Bacs Direct Debit Guarantee: Subscriptions may be settled via major payment cards or UK Bacs Direct Debit. If paying by Direct Debit, your payments are protected under the statutory UK Direct Debit Guarantee. We guarantee at least 3 business days advance written notice prior to any recurring monthly debit, and 30 calendar days advance notice prior to any annual renewal charge or tariff change.
  • Auto-Renewal & Proactive Reminders: Memberships renew automatically to guarantee continuous directory visibility and patient discoverability. Tunbridge Wellness sends courteous automated reminders 3 days before monthly debits and 30 days before annual renewals. Members may cancel auto-renewal at any time within their Settings dashboard with zero penalty or exit fees.
  • Card Expiry Notifications: To avoid accidental delisting, our systems alert members when payment cards are approaching expiry, allowing convenient card updates.
  • Sabbatical, Recovery & Parental Pause: Members in good standing may pause their active listing for up to six (6) consecutive months for maternity, family leave, medical recovery, or career sabbaticals. Billing is halted throughout the pause, and the member's directory ranking, testimonials, and verified status remain intact upon resumption.
  • Invoicing & VAT Receipts: Full VAT-compliant receipts with unique reference numbers and itemised breakdowns are immediately accessible and downloadable from the member's Billing console.

10. Venue Directory Standards & Physical Space Integrity

Tunbridge Wellness maintains rigorous physical presentation standards to ensure seekers and practitioners find authentic, peaceful environments:

  • Authentic Wellness Environments: Listed venues must represent genuine, high-calibre physical spaces located within Tunbridge Wells and surrounding districts, dedicated to somatic, clinical, meditative, or holistic wellbeing.
  • Tier Structure & Physical Space Capacity:
    • Single Studio Tier (£25/mo or £249/yr): Valid for one dedicated treatment room, studio space, or consultation suite.
    • Boutique Multi-Room Tier (£45/mo or £449/yr): Valid for venues offering up to 4 individual treatment spaces, providing independent room showcases, room-specific amenity lists, and granular practitioner booking controls.
    • Flagship Complex Tier (£85/mo or £849/yr): For multi-suite sanctuaries, movement centres, and retreat venues with 5 or more rooms, offering unlimited room showcases and priority regional positioning.
  • The Welcoming Guardian Ethos: If a venue registered on the Single Studio tier advertises multiple rooms or treatment suites in their description, Tunbridge Wellness adheres to an educational, supportive approach rather than punitive delisting. Our curator team will reach out personally to offer a complimentary 14-day preview of the Boutique Multi-Room tier and help optimize their room showcases. Continuing multi-room operations under a single studio listing following concierge guidance will result in profile adjustment to showcase a single primary room.

11. Platform Availability

While we strive to provide a reliable service, we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation of the website, nor do we guarantee that all practitioner information is perpetually current. The platform may occasionally be unavailable for necessary maintenance.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions, and any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Both you and Tunbridge Wellness irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising from your use of this platform or attendance at our events.
